Description PUUR Probiotic for Dogs/Cats:
PUUR Probiotic is a powder with pre- and probiotics for dogs, cats and horses. PUUR Probiotic supports good intestinal flora and gives extra resistance, for example in case of thin stools or a bloated belly. It can also be used after a course of antibiotics and in stressful situations.
PUUR Probiotic contains various types of supporting bacteria, namely Bifidobacterium lactis, Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus salivarius andLactococcus lactis. It also contains Fructo Oligo Saccharides (FOS), which serve as nutrition for these good bacteria. By stimulating the good bacteria, bad bacteria get less chance.
PUUR Probiotic dosage:
In the first week, your dog, cat or horse should be given PUUR Probiotic twice daily, unless your vet prescribes otherwise. After the first week, the dose can be reduced to once daily. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage.
< 10 kg: 0.5 grams
10 - 25 kg: 1 gram
25 - 80 kg: 1.5 grams
> 80 kg: 2.5 grams
Dosing is easy using the measuring spoon provided. The measuring spoon in PUUR Probiotic 150 grams contains approximately 2.5 grams.
How to administrate the Probiotic:
Preferably dissolve the powder in lukewarm water and leave for 15 minutes. Then stir and administer, preferably on an empty stomach. If it proves difficult to administer PUUR Probiotic twice a day, you can also choose to give it once a day or once every 2 days. In that case, give the maximum dose for one day. This way, however, it may take a little longer for it to be effective.
How long should PUUR Probiotic be given?
For acute problems, treatment can be relatively short: a few days to 3 weeks. In case of improvement, continue PUUR Probiotic for some more days. In chronic problems, PUUR Probiotic can be given permanently. The effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. On improvement, gradually reduce the dose to the lowest possible level.
During pregnancy and lactation, always use in consultation with the veterinary surgeon in charge.
